After graduating with a degree in Drama, he has continued his acting career by starring in a web series and short films. His other passion of travel has led him into vlogging and sharing his experiences with social media followers whilst travelling the world.

Bio:

Craig Pinkney is a Criminologist, Urban Youth Specialist and Director at Solve: The Centre for Youth Violence and Conflict CIC (UK). Craig is an experienced Youth Worker and academically holds a BA (Hons) in Youth & Community Development (JNC), Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning, Post Graduate Certificate in Research, Masters in Criminology and is currently a PhD Researcher in Social Sciences at Birmingham City University. 

 

Craig is also the UK lead for the EU Gangs Project, an advisor for the Ministry of Justice in Jamaica, and a visiting lecturer, specialising in Youth Violence, Urban Street Gangs, Social Media, Trauma Informed Practice and Black men’s desistance.

Bio:

After moving to the UK from Spain, Nuria began filmmaking in 2016 following the completion of a Creative Media & Film Industry course at college. Two years later in 2018, Nuria directed and produced her first film entitled ‘Fragments of Voices’ – commissioned by Gallery 37.

 

Nuria is also an activist for the LGBTQ community and has set up the Q121 movement in Birmingham to offer support and hold events to celebrate diversity in the city. Nuria says she wants to ”help build visibility in the media for the LGBTQ community” and has set about doing this initially with the creation of her latest short film – ‘Let Black Kings Be Queens (LBKBQ)’.

Bio:

In the early stages of Thai’s career he was mainly focussed on writing. However, he’s always had a passion for films and TV shows and the process of creating them. As he progressed In his career, Thai began shooting and editing music and promo videos. But telling a coherent narrative in film has been his main passion so after a while he dropped music videos and began fully committing himself to filmmaking.

Michelle is a Birmingham born actress and has starred in several short films and drama series’. Bio:

Aaron began a career in TV after getting a degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2015. Since then, Aaron has gone on to work as a video journalist and presenter at local TV station Made in Birmingham. He now offers presenting, filming and editing services. Aaron says his goal is to create films with a positive purpose and his favourite quote is -  “Instead of trying to build a brick wall - Lay a brick every day and eventually you’ll build a brick wall”.

Bio:

Annabelle’s interest in acting began at school,  where she picked up both GCSE and A-levels in drama. 

 

After identifying her passion, Annabelle decided to pursue a career in acting and enrolled in an on-screen course with Louise Osbourne in 2016 - following this up a year later by partaking in an acting course at Conway Academy.

 

As said by Annabelle herself, ‘I didn’t know how to get into acting as I had no friends or family in the industry but learnt through the acting courses and short films I took part in’. 

 

Annabelle wants to inspire people to show you don’t have to go down the traditional routes. Her short term goal is to find an acting agent and get paid work in the industry.

After receiving the prestigious title of Birmingham’s Young Poet Laureate for 2010/11, Jordan completed a Film & Television degree at the University of Nottingham - graduating in 2016. This led to him featuring on E4’s Vlogglebox show one year later.

 

Jordan currently hosts the Korean Chicken & Pasta Bake Podcast alongside co host Demetrizia Cabatingan, of which they started in 2018 and has since gone to complete over 100 weekly episodes - one of them being performed in front of a live audience at Birmingham’s Serve Bar in the summer of 2019.

he pair later set up the Korean Chicken & Pasta Bake Podcast, with Mitz’s bubbly personality particularly popular with audiences. Over 100

episodes later and the podcast is still going strong, with Mitz being back on stage in August 2019 - delivering the podcast live from Birmingham’s Serve Bar.

Kole is a Birmingham film maker and documentarian - he is the founder of the brand ‘Walk A Mile In My Shoes’. Kole is known for his insightful documentaries that touch on real life issues and get audiences thinking. Shakur initially rose to prominence after admirably sharing his experience in a documentary about the loss of his older brother. Shakur has since gone on to mentor young people - educating them on the consequences of knife crime.

Bio:

Howard Richards, known as Leo The Golden Child, has been making a name for himself consistently over the past decade. The Birmingham born artist, started his creative career as a rapper - a journey which led to touring with X-Factor finalists Union J. Leo has since gone from strength to strength and hosted a number of live shows and events as well as continuing to make music. A man of many talents, Leo also has acting as a part of his repertoire and has starred in multiple short films - including a piece highlighting the issue of ‘county lines’. More recently, Leo has been one half of the ELO TV POD and has become an audience favourite with his charisma and honesty.

Bio:

Amie Holness is certainly one of a kind. The beautiful and elegant creative began her on-screen journey with vlogging - documenting her numerous trips and real life dramas. It was only a matter of time before Amie would be able to put her natural skills into more, and the opportunity to be in a short film on the issue of antisocial behaviour proved too good to pass up. A second short film followed in 2022, again on a societal issue, but this time it centred around domestic abuse as she plays the role of Aaliyah in the ELO TV short ‘Opening Her Eyes’. Alongside her acting, Amie hosts the ELO TV POD with Leo The Golden Child and has come into her own in the process - speaking powerfully on topics such as abortion, heart break, family grief and colourism.

Orion Martin is certainly one to watch over the next decade. The hugely talented actor has come through the performing arts school BOA and is currently studying his craft further at university. Orion’s potential is clear for all to see though, with his wide range of attributes as an actor. With youth on his side, Orion has already played leading roles in multiple short films including ELO TV’s ‘Simple Actions Save Lives’ and ‘Opening Her Eyes’. It is safe to say, Orion is one for the future.
